Don't worry, my friend. American democracy has already been destabilized. In fact, many Trump supporters are happy to remind us that, given his popular vote loss, we were never an actual democracy in the first place. This NYT story is helping to restore America to its former glory. Rejoice!

No, you're completely misreading me. I'm not a trump supporter at all. And obvs we have to keep reporting this stuff, but we really are all pawns at this point. I'm very afraid Putin is holding way more cards than we are. As much as I want to see all the trumps locked up, I have no glee about any of this. It's all really bad for America.
