Do we think she's electable outside NY?
New Yorker here. I love AOC. She is an incredibly gifted politician. If she were a man, I would think yes.
Did you see her response when asked about running for president?
‘My ambition is much bigger than that…’
Best answer I have ever heard to that question.
What could be her bigger ambition?

Just look at GOP attacks on James Talarico, a straight white Christian.
They're calling him "Tofu Talarico" and "transgender" and running the exact same culture-war playbook they've used on everyone else.
They called Joe Biden a communist.
Don't base decisions on GOP talking points. Pick the best candidates and stand by your values.“

Yes, that's a great answer for someone who knows they would never in a million years win the presidency. "Oh, but I didn't even want it. My ambition is SO MUCH BIGGER than that." Too funny.
Lmao, this country elected Donald Trump, twice. Rapist and pedophile. Conman and crook.
AOC is 43 years younger than Trump and much more intelligent. She will have decades to dance on his grave and think about running for president.
Um, ok. Nothing you said is relevant to what I said. But sure.

Here’s her answer:
“What’s funny is they assume my ambition is a title or a seat. My ambition is to change this country. Presidents come and go. Senate, House seats, elected officials come and go”.
“But single-payer healthcare is forever. A living wage is forever, workers’ rights are forever, women’s rights, all of that, and to a finer point to your question is that when you aren’t attached, when you haven’t been like fantasizing about being this or that since the time you were seven years old, it is tremendously liberating”.
She wants to “make decisions from a place of how are we going to change the country”.
“I make decisions by waking up in the morning, looking out the window and observing the conditions of this country. And saying what move or what decision can I make today that is going to get us closer to that future, stronger, faster, better than yesterday”.

Maybe the Republicans could run Rob Schneider. Or John Schneider.

Thanks, Pelosi and Feinstein!
No, there are lots. There’s a void of superhuman, walks-on-water saviors, which is what the electorate has come to believe we deserve in a President. If you look at history many of our best Presidents weren’t visionaries- just stable, sensible executives that solved problems as they arose. Maybe its time to scale back expectations about the role of the American Presidency, rather than always looking for Superman.
