I’m not sure that the school is cooperating. I’m sure they have given the police everything they asked for, because they don’t want to be sued or accused of obstructing an investigation or something like that, but as they are they as cooperative and proactive as they could be? I doubt it, based on that that the email they sent out to parents today purged on blaming the victim and making it sound like the child completely made it up.
It provided no details about whatever their investigation was, or if they’ve done anything to either make sure that no more assaults occur or that no assaults do occur

A child’s allegations should always be taken seriously. In addition, if the child did make it up, they kept up with the lie long enough that their parents pulled both them and their sibling from the school and they’ve apparently been seeing a therapist ever since. It seems to me that a kid would have to be really really committed to put themselves through that for this long if nothing had happened.

regarding the masking, I wonder if it wasn’t a ski mask situation so much as it might’ve been kids obscuring their faces with a scarf they were wearing or drawing a sweatshirt hood close around their face.


I imagine the family would like anyone with corroborating evidence to come forward. The school never asked the community to do so.

It's insane that GDS would hire a firm that's listed in the Epstein files to investigate sexual abuse. This is the equivalent of hiring Casey Anthony to babysit your kids.

It is highly inappropriate for people to speculate or cast aspersions here, especially those who have not even seen the underlying emails.


GDS has had many bathroom incidents where students were ambushed in the bathroom. This is NOT NEW. THEY have the records at school that students were ambushed


What does this mean?


If this is true it should be reported to MPD.

Above all, my heart breaks for the 11-year old child because, no matter what is true or not, they are a victim of something in some way.


It’s only responses like this that I find immaterial.

Was the Board informed? I can’t believe there wasn’t a discussion on whether or how to release this information to parents in ES and MS. I also have to believe that at no point would it not have been useful to inform and engage the community.

If there were other victims, either before or after, they may have also left the school now. Teachers or students who maybe saw or heard something relevant may have left or forgotten.

By not making the information public the school also may have missed an opportunity to discuss its current setup and investigate avenues to greatly reduce interactions in the bathrooms between students in ES and MS or to increase supervision during periods when overlap is most likely.
