You left out that these are all athletic recruits. But yes that is impressive. There is also a lacrosse commit to Princeton.

+1.

Did any of them actually play for SR or just their elite club teams? Pretty common for kids not playing for their school team because it’s not on their level. Plus SR doesn’t give credit for doing club sports which would actually encourage school participation (I.e. other schools give you independent study credit for club sports as long as you play that sport for the school)

All of these girls play for both SR and club lacrosse teams

Any girl getting recruited to play lacrosse in college plays both club and HS. The club teams do not play games or practice durning the HS lacrosse season. They practice and play tournaments in the fall and then it ramps up again for the summer. They usually play/practice a little in the winter in indoor leagues but the club teams want them to focus on their HS team in the spring.

You do get PE credit if you play outside of school. My DD did this last year.

You do not always get PE credit for playing a club sport outside of school. They really want girls to play for SR so coaches are willing to work with kids to make the club/school team juggle work. Quite a few (most?) girls opt to play for SR in addition to their club team which is not always easy, but it’s pretty common.

Are we really buying kids 150k cars these days? We can afford it, I’m just not sure what’s the point? What happened to the classic DMV trope “don’t show your wealth”

Why do you care? Mind your business.

No these are not NEW 150k range rovers or BMWs purchased for their kids in the vast majority of cases. Used or family third car passed down.

And yes, this is not unique in any way to SR. But you knew that.

Is this your first rodeo? Take a look in student lots around DMV privates and you will see a very similar assortment of $$$ cars that kids are driving. Plenty of very expensive cars in the Whitman lot too.
