Totally agree. I tend to avoid threads about subjects that irritate me. For instance, when Hamilton was all the rage, I couldn't bring myself to click on any of those threads because I had seen it and hated it intensely. So, I simply avoided any discussion of it. Simple. There are definitely people who seek out the very things that annoy them, making it much more of a "them" problem. Another example - the OP of this thread no doubt started it solely so she could rant about TS. Very transparent.


But you clicked on a thread that was started by a very transparent person who “no doubt started it solely so she could rant about TS”

That isn’t “simply staying away and “avoid[ing] threads about subject that irritate you.”

….. so your completely negated all your points.

She wasn’t my favorite artist until my 20 yo daughter kept asking me to listen to her more recent albums - Midnight, Folklore, Evermore, and TTPS. Wow, I was blown away by how much she had evolved. Now we share her too!

I don’t know much about her except that she’s really rich and famous and has a cat named Olivia Benson. My niece likes her music and I keep meaning to ask her for her favorite five or ten songs so I can look them up. I don’t listen to the radio or anything so I don’t know if I’ve ever even heard one of her songs.

I think she’s a really unusual looking woman, and while I don’t mean good unusual, it is nice that she doesn’t look like every Instagram model.

He could go into broadcasting like Jason - similar to the Manning brothers it would be fun to hear them call a game together. My initial thought was that she would see him as a leech on her fame but OTOH, she was with Joe Alwyn for six years, really wanted to marry him, and his lack of a meaningful career and money did not seem to be an issue for her. Her songs from that period, and the Joe-inspired ones on TPPD, show that she didn't care about money, she loved him.


Travis has not shown a single red flag regarding Taylor's career. He's very supportive. If their relationship ends it won't be due to bitterness in his end.

I really like them together and I think he could very likely be her end game. A lot of songs about Joe were focused on how much she loved him, but she also felt guilty for being TS in the relationship. Songs like Peace and Bejeweled really drives home how she gave up a lot and hopes what she can offer is enough for him. My DD and I saw her show in Arlington, TX. Turns out it was the first show after she and Joe broke up. She started crying, almost sobbing really, during Champagne Problems which led us to think she proposed and he said no - she just wrote it from the male POV. That was the weekend she did it with a broken heart. Travis however embraces being a Swiftie and understands that in the relationship, she is the catch!

Yes, but she gave it right back to him, which I was glad to see - and he apologized and acknowledged he was completely wrong.

I’m indifferent. Don’t care much for her music. I do like that she gave huge bonuses to support crew on her Eras Tour. I am a GenXer and a fan of Blur & Gorillaz but was disappointed when Damon Albarn criticized her for not writing her own music. It annoys me when people dismiss her or downplay her accomplishments. They do this a lot to women artists. So annoying!
