Where are you getting that from?

Why, why, why are Alito and Thomas allowed to remain on the Supreme Court!?
They are law abiding Americans.
Hate it all you want. Lol.
They’re not abiding this law, though:
28 USC 455: Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.
Mrs. Alito may legally do as she wishes. Suck it.
Like Caesar's wife, the behavior of spouses of high government officials should be above reproach. Below is a simple explanation of what this means and should not overload your two functioning brain cells.
'What does judges like Caesar's wife should be above suspicion mean?
To put it briefly, the phrase means that those holding important public positions should avoid even the appearance of wrongdoing. Their behaviour must always be “above suspicion”, since any misconduct, or rumours of misconduct, by them besmirches the
high office they hold.Dec 18, 2022"
Except don't we now know that Alito's story about his wife flying the "distress" flag for a few days in response to a rude neighbor was all made up?
The "pine tree" flag - a symbol of the Christian nationalist movement - flew over his beach house for WEEKS. It's even on the Google Maps picture. And he has 3 flagpoles outside his house, where the "Appeal to Heaven" flag occupied the tallest one. A Supreme Court Justice chose to fly it instead of the actual flag of the country he serves.
Which is more disrespectful to our flag - flying it upside down or not flying it all?

+1 The whole wife story is BS. That was obvious when he said kids waiting for the school buses, the ones which were not running in January 2021, could see their neighbors’ sign that insulted Trump.

Why? He clearly lied about the kids waiting at the bus stop in front of the offending sign.
And what was the beach house flag in response to? It’s so empty.
“The Times somehow fails to let readers know that the flag is a longtime symbol of independence; that it was designed by George Washington’s secretary; was flown on ships commissioned by Washington; has been honored, commemorated and flown over state capitols; and is the official maritime flag of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is currently displayed outside the office of the speaker of the House. Dozens of historic flags were toted to the Capitol on Jan. 6, as were copies of the Constitution and pictures of the American eagle. Are they all now symbols of “insurrection”?” - wsj
Omg. Stop. The Gadsden flag used to mean something else too.
And people still fly the Gadsden no matter what the hysterical posters out of DC think.
Yes as an anti-government flag. You’re either naive as hell or dishonest. Your gaslighting won’t work here.
Good grief.
The most anti-government people out there are the crazy anti-Israel posters who proudly wave the Palestinian flag while shouting hateful things about the US.
They are not flying Gadsden flags.
Do a little research and find out about the history of the Gadsden flag.
I don’t support this either but it has nothing to do with the other. Radicals are the problem - on both sides.
Really? Let’s do a side by side comparison and see who the radicals are.
You can find out for yourself by reading legitimate news sources and looking at arrest records. But I know you’re not interested in learning or reading anything. Brace yourself: many people causing the violence are not actually on the side of the protestors, they are bad actors there to make the protesters look violent.
The left has mostly radical tree huggers and pacifists, the right has radical gun enthusiasts who cosplay war and tried to stop a fair election, have attacked and attempted to kidnap government officials.

That tells me Alito is trying to overthrow our Constitutional democracy from within. Very scary.

That’s just completely untrue. Get out of your left wing bubble.

I literally said the meaning has changed. I used it as an example of how meanings change. I know the history. You’re either naive or you’re dishonest.
And the non-political wing commander agrees with me. He made an officer take it down from the outside of his base home. Because nothing says ignorant more than a government employee hanging an anti government flag on his government owned house.
