What makes you think that most FCV players/parents won't stick with TSJ (assuming that they don't do something crazy like announce that all FCV practices will be held in Springfield)? CC can certainly guarantee PT over at Revolution since their existing teams suck. But he can't guarantee that in six months or a year, somebody with a grassroots license and an enormous ego won't be "coaching" them. Conversely, BP can't guarantee PT for large numbers of FCV players at VDA because they already have full rosters. Sure, the top players in each age group could probably displace the less talented players at VDA but that won't be the case for entire teams. And I doubt that TSJ will sit idly by and allow either to actively recruit away entire teams of players.
They better hop to it, because at least some of the coaches leaving for Rev have already had ‘unofficial’ meetings with parents to recruit them away.
What’s the recruiting pitch? Coaching at Revolution might be okay, but when the dust settles I don’t see many people leaving to play NCSL at a club that’s more focused on their “school”. If they are getting GA they should announce it ASAP and then maybe there is a real decision to be made.

“Hey GA, it’s Christian. Listen, I know Revolution sucks. They don’t even have a girls team in every age group. And the teams that they do have are getting crushed in EDP and NCSL. And sure, my boss is a jackass with a grassroots license. But look, except for Bobby, it’s me and most of the old FCV gang over here. So do me a favor, for old times sake, and let’s pretend like Revolution is just as good as any other GA club. It’ll sell well with our parents and we’ve got this big mortgage payment that we need to keep making.”
im happy… Hansen park will be liberated again… for pickup games if Loudoun doesn’t swoop inAnonymous wrote:Fcv. Run. Away.

I will Venmo $10 to every doubter on this board if FCV gets literally ZERO county fields in Loudoun this spring. Quote this post with your name and email address to cash in.

If I were CC, next call would be to the Jefferson Cup tournament coordinator demanding to know why those GA-quality teams at Revolution weren’t even accepted in the bottom showcase brackets while FCV, Cedar Stars, Match Fit, Lou Fusz, SJEB, STA, etc. got in to a top bracket!
Those are some of the top teams in the country. Revolution is currently zero.
