Okay, how do you align the competing narratives on this thread?
--One, the lax parents are very difficult and keep running off the coaches, even when they are successful.
--Two, the AD is the problem and has been there forever and won't support athletics or address the coaching issue with lacrosse.
Do you see the tension? Why don't the same difficult and powerful parents advocate for a change at the AD level? Seems like it would solve 2 problems.
The underlying tension is a lack of resources. Increasing the price of the Visi product is the best way to solve the problem.
Visi tuition is $35K versus SR at $45K. The incremental $5-10K per student scaled across 450 girls would provide an extra $2.2-4.5mm to attract high quality coaches across all sports with full time faculty positions. This is the SR and SSAS playbook.
Annual fundraising covers the cost of scholarships so that mission is not lost.

Because the difficult and powerful parents narrative is a smokescreen?

GC, SR, PVI and SASS should put Oakton, Broadneck and Dominion on their lists. Coaches are planning their schedules now and should make this happen. There’s ample time and room on the schedules for this to happen. Why these teams don’t compete when they are so close makes zero sense. Outcomes of those games would give the Washington Post the best data upon which to base its rankings.”
PP should look at the Oakton Turkey Shoot Out results.
