Republicans advocated for phonics-based instruction and progressives had to advocated for the opposite. Not everything is a partisan issue. I think it’s totally appropriate to cover a congressional hearing about school closures especially one where APS is mentioned. We can’t critique book bans and call for real history being taught and then scream when coverage is given to a congressional hearing addressing a very important issue.
