1. Nexus championship weekend
2. NCCs
3. Disney (top flights)
4. Shooting Star Thanksgiving (top pools)
5. College specific clinics held on their campus or affiliated club teams. Not Lineup
6. Club affiliation/relationships with college coaches
7. NITs (more for goalies)
This is a good rundown. One question - why not Lineup?

A? Singular?
Uh….the jealous retort from the poster who’s daughter has gotten zero interest from A? Singular? D1 school!

Nobody is "putting down" one over the other. They are sharing the basic facts of the two tournaments. Truly, there is no reason to get upset that your team isn't going to Disney. There is likely a good reason your team isn't going (though in my experience, it's one of two reasons: coach messed up and missed the deadline or coach wants to go to NFHCA and doesn't have a big enough club to attend both tournaments), but truly, Disney is a more competitive tournament. As a previous poster explained, the top college head coaches go and look very closely at sophomores and possibly last looks at juniors who are on the fence. Winter Escape does not attrac the top clubs and college coaches know the difference between the two. You claim that the "bottom line" is getting your DD seen, when there really is more to it than that. And knowledgeable parents, coaches, whoever, are just trying to share the correct information.

There were nearly 175 in person coaches at Winter Escape, many of them head coaches. And for many schools, it's not the head coaches that go to these things at all and, instead, is very school specific.
"Disney is a more competitive environment" is an opinion and not one shared by all. Doesn't mean it's not good.
The thing is that it is not an opinion. All you have to do is look at the teams and players who compete. I don't know why cannot accept that Winter Escape is just a different kind of showcase. It is not meant to be "competitive," while Disney is, unless, of course, your team is seeded into brackets outside the top 4 after pool play. Honestly, Disney is the only tournament outside of NCCs (and NITs to a degree) at which the top clubs and players are able to play each other. They do not play their top players--if they go at all--at Winter Escape. That's not what Winter Escape is for.

I agree there are a few posters on here who seem to have a vandetta, but I just ignore what they say because it doesn’t come across as informative, just crazy.
I have shared my/my daughter’s experience and I have also encouraged people to look beyond this board and to find a fit for their own child. Each kid is different, even within families, and while one coach/club may work for one kid the may not work for another.
Before moving clubs, I had conversations with the clubs we were interested in and asked the questions important to me. You may have different concerns so you may ask different questions and come to a different conclusion about the club/coach. We did not like 2 clubs that overall people on here seem to think well of. So we didn’t pick them. We picked the one that was the best fit for my daughter.
Yes, you have said all this already.
