The debate is going down in history. It was never about policy. But whether the Democratic Party did deliberately orchestrate a cover up around the stroke and suppressed it and lied to voters about it aided and abetted by the media. A lot of damage was done and many people will not forget it.

If people were grown ups, Fetterman should have stepped aside after the stroke and another primary held. There was plenty of time. But it's clear senior Democratic operatives and the Fetterman campaign had talks to hide the extent of the stroke damage and with plans to either push him aside after the election for the new governor to appoint his wife or someone safe to the seat, or even just have his wife be the de factor senator.

A great deal of dishonesty was revealed with the debate. And it's a shame. It made a mockery out of the political system.

It’s fascinating to me that Russian trolls like you would be so interested in a senate race. Bizarre

American here - you’re just mad it’s finally come out two weeks before the election what we were telling you all along. Fetterman is and was a trrrible candidate, even before the stroke! Who the f shows up to meet the President of the United States in board shorts?

He looks like a cro-magnon Neanderthal.

He does have an unusual look, PP, but so does your cray cray leader with his lacquered combover, orange makeup, ill-fitting clothes, and boorish manners.

Republicans really really need to not open their mouths about peoples’ appearance.

But okay for Democrats to attack Walker?

I didn’t vote for Trump. I just think Fetterman is trash dragged out of a dumpster. Dude looks like he doesn’t even bathe.

Have his wife take over for Fetterman? Quite the imagination there. You sound unhinged, PP.

Because it hasn’t happened before? And honestly that does make sense now that I think on it - if Fetterman wins and voluntarily steps down the PA Gov can appoint anyone they want through the next special election. Just like the Governor of Georgia did with Kelly Loeffler. - NP

I asked about this possibility at the beginning of the thread and I got no response. I wanted to know the PA/fed process when someone steps down or dies while in office. Is the position decided by the governor or is there another election. So many times we’ve seen a spouse take over.

https://www.senate.gov/senators/AppointedSenators.htm

PA Governor is one of 37 states with the power to appoint. The appointment lasts til the next statewide general election - in this case 2024.

Fetterman is/was the better candidate but the Dems could have handled the situation better.
