Can you imagine carrying around this much animosity for a former employer? Poor dude (guessing) is so disgruntled that he spends his time following threads and chiming in aggressively on a school that he hasn't worked at in a number of years. I honestly feel pity for him.
I posted above. I'm not a former employee. I'm a current parent who won't be returning in the fall. I'm tired of dealing with admins and teachers who aren't very good at their jobs in a building that isn't healthy for the kids. I don't post on DCUM much. You guys need a life. BASIS is just OK a nd you know it.

Are 5th graders randomly assigned a section or does the test the school is going to administer on June 27th (as part of the planned ice cream social) play a role in deciding which students are in which section? Do the students need to do anything to prepare for the June 27th test?
LOL wut?
Why do people post crap like this when they have no idea about anything. Yes, the test on June 27th. I assume this means your kid isn’t going to BASIS and you haven’t done any actual research about it… you’re just all teen test speak on this thread for funsies?
Actually my kid is going there, this is the first I’ve heard of them giving a test at an ice cream social, and the whole thing sounds weird as hell.
Do you have a spouse that handles caring about your kid's education? Because if your kid is going there, you have paid ZERO attention to all of the emails you've received and didn't attend the in-person orientation. This has been mentioned repeatedly.
We got off the waitlist just a few weeks ago, did not have the opportunity to go to the orientation because of that, and have not received any emails that reference the test.
Good to know the incoming parents are a**holes, though.

+1. Do it now. It will be better than having to do it in the middle of the year.
You're really selling the school with that attitude.

Are you unemployed? You spend a lot of time on this forum rehashing your old grievances.
