Seems like she is smart since she was ahead of the curve on that one.

The FCPS School Board activists are a threat to our kids every single day by pushing forward their agenda of gender ideology, sexualization, and political activism in spite of the objection from the majority of parents, students, and some school staff.
Stacy Langton’s methods to fight this indoctrination might not be perfect, but they have been effective in that she brought to light things that were hidden; and for that, many parents are grateful and appreciate her advocacy and courage.
Not sure why your chose this specific thread to mock Mrs. Langton’s, but there is no doubt that Superintendent Reid has bigger challenges ahead of her.
I agree entirely.
More importantly: many voting parents agree; perhaps most.
Those of you in vehement disagreement appear to be in the minority among voters, even if your radical views are common on this Board. And your views are indeed radical, extreme, and ultimately harmful to our children.

I wholly disagree with this bs about “indoctrination.” These are talking points from your ultra right wingnut crowd. “Many parents” are grateful that their transgender kid is being acknowledged and that the board is working to put protections in place for them. This narrative that others’ rights being protected somehow takes away from your rights is downright wrong. I’m sure you also think that gay people being able to get married takes away your rights. Yeah, no.
I'm also concerned about the right's embrace of this Christian version of Sharia Law they've been trying to foist on public schools.

I guess if this were one of the backward former slave states like Texas or Alabama that might be true, but it sounds like you're living in an alternative reality.

Move on. No one is going to close schools again. Of course, there will be individual problems now that covid rates are going up and some people refuse to mask.
I was thinking about that argument you people make while I was down in FL over spring break. Seems like those schools are open just fine with no masking.
What are you talking about? Schools had crazy outbreaks once masks came off after spring break. Just look at the dashboard.
Masks came off March 1. The outbreaks didn’t happen until 6 weeks later or so. It was more to do with the more transmissible variant than the masks. CDC even said cloth masks were worthless.
