Where's the misogyny? Break it down, please.

It’s a matter of algorithmic justice and equity.

Latest Tesla diversity report shows less than 15% of managers are women.

Musk wasted no time going after the female chief legal officer at Twitter on twitter and she now faces death threats, rape threats and insane attacks from conservatives.

There is a lot of evidence that women have been unfairly singled out and savaged by Tech bros.

You don’t have to dig very deep to find the misogyny …

So how would one criticize Reddy without being misogynistic?

Sorry who are you referring to?

Helen Reddy (of “I am Woman” fame)? (1941-2020: RIP)

If so, you could just say, I’m not into her 1970s pop music.

Or for the grand slam, you could wrote your own iconic “I am man” or “I transcend gender” song.

In addition, with the above posting, why did he gave interview that Twitter has become the virtual TownSquare... there are so many competitions who even rate better than Twitter!

So, Twitter will likely gravitate to the ideological right. Millions of people on the left will abandon the platform and go find or establish their own echo chamber. The “factionalization” of America continues.

DP. Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal co-host the same podcast and have comparable numbers of followers. They both tweeted the same comment at about the same time. Katie got nearly 40 times as many (mostly negative) comments as of the time of that screenshot as her male co-host.

Thank you for the context. Being sincere.

I guess I would quibble with "same comment". Or maybe I just don't get Jesse's punchline.

It will be interesting to see what this does to twitter’s ad revenue.

Taylor Swift's twitter follower #'s: lost ~10k followers out of ~90Million. That's roughly 1/100th of 1% of her total followers. Though she seems to have been losing followers in the previous weeks. Don't follow her so I have no idea why.

Katy Perrys: lost ~5k followers out of 110Million. That's less than 1/200th of 1% of her total followers.
https://socialblade.com/twitter/user/katyperry

Like so many things, it depends on what one's definition of "significant numbers of followers" is. It's possible that Katy Perry will de-activate her Twitter account that's she's had for 13+ years and leave over that loss but the data seems to suggest that these mega stars will be able to handle losing 5 or 10k followers. And the people that unfollowed will likely be back anyway. Let's be honest here...

Katy Perry lost 200,000 followers, not 5,000.

She still has 110 million followers. In the grand scheme of things, that’s a blip on the radar.

Do you also think it’s nothing that Marjorie Taylor Greene picked up 95k followers?

As for Perry, Swift, etc., it is a dramatic swing for two days. The level of deactivations and new account creation was high enough that it got Twitters attention and they felt it was worth analyzing. So you can keep trying to minimize it, but it is still a sign that a lot of people are very uneasy about the idea of participating in a platform run by Musk and giving him access to their personal data.

A bunch of republicans joined due to the news of Elon taking over and wanting free speech. It makes sense to me. I think Tucker Carlson even came back.

Yes, because they think that Twitter will now let them engage in the kind of indecent, hateful behavior that wasn’t tolerated the past few years.

I mean, the awful, racist, misogynistic and violent tweets at Vijaya Gadde that started moments after Musk went after her yesterday tell us we need to know about what Twitter will be if Musk has his way.

Yah - No wonder Twitter staff are upset … already Twitter’s moral voice of reason is under siege by Musk and conservatives …
Elon Musk boosts criticism of Twitter executives, prompting online attacks. The targeting of employees by Musk’s massive Twitter megaphone is a major concern for workers

Elon Musk has tweeted criticism of top Twitter lawyer Vijaya Gadde, raising further questions about her future at the company

Here’s the article that Musk tweeted angrily in response to …
Twitter’s top lawyer reassures staff, cries during meeting about Musk takeover
Vijaya Gadde, a key executive involved in decisions to remove former President Donald Trump and ban political advertising, expressed uncertainty about the future of the platform.

Gadde, who has worked at Twitter since 2011, is the key executive charged with overseeing Twitter’s trust and safety, legal and public policy functions. She is seen internally as Twitter’s “moral authority” and the executive tasked with handling sensitive issues like harassment and dangerous speech.
Gadde played a leading role in negotiating the deal between Twitter and Musk, according to one person familiar with the dynamics.

Musk keeps going after Twitter staff - no wonder they are afraid …
Twitter executive accuses Musk of MISOGYNY for criticizing firm's top lawyer- but Elon continues attacking Twitter and points out Trump's Truth Social is beating it

Oops looks like its time for all those Indian tech execs to rally around her. Isn't the CEO of Google and Twitter Indian? Oh they're silent? Too bad.

And turning the debate over how to be an inclusive global village social platform that safely promotes free speech into tribal warfare based on country of robin would help how ?
