No, they didn't. The FBI told each informant they were there to monitor the activities of certain others - not to commit crimes themselves.
And it was the informants who originally contacted the FBI because they were concerned their friends or family members were planning to do attack the capitol.
But the RWNJ narrative is that the ringleaders and organizers were FBI agents. That's not even remotely true. The RWNJs can't even seem to tell the difference between FBI agents and informants, who were people who knew the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers and others who planned violence, who started to get freaked out when their buddies' rhetoric escalated, so they dropped a dime to law enforcement.

The FBI director would not even acknowledge they were there. None of you know anything about this situation; you are just making up your own narrative. Not a single citation with any evidence, just made up nonsense.
Wray refused to admit CHS assets were present and then resigned after the report came out. You people know nothing and Wray is a liar.
Read the final report. We found out one of the Oath Keepers was an informant during the big seditious conspiracy trial. That’s how the Feds got the encrypted chats and audio communications.
It doesn’t matter what Wray admitted or not. Informants are people who are in the group already, but have agreed to slide intel and evidence to the Feds. They are not undercover agents. You should be grateful to them. They’ve helped prevent a lot of terrible shit from happening.

Wray resigned because Trump intends to replace him. This isn't rocket science.
And why would Trump be so interested in replacing him? You’re almost there.
