The Democratic Party all but abandoned MO, and most “red” states. They weren’t always red. MO had long history of progressive politics. But Dems let GOP overtake state and local governments and now everyone is paying the price. I volunteer to recruit folks to run as Dems in these neglected areas. It will take time to rebuild. A lot of time.

If that includes banning birth control (unless requested by a man), allowing abortion (as requested by a man), banning women from voting, banning women from working outside the house in most jobs, they will find a way. Project 2025 sweeps aside democracy and allows the GOP to install a theocracy that the Leonard Leo types have been baying for.

They have been emboldened by the success of their lies and their tricks, and they see no reason to hide anymore.
