Definetely wrong. Most of the NC ECNL teams are playing this weekend despite season being over in December. HS season is done except for state championship games, so majority of players are available.
It’s interesting to see these teams show up somewhat rusty and out of practice, as a team, after the high school gap.

Most MA states play ecnl in fall and hs in spring and will attend ecnl NC. Not ideal but also good showcase that is easy travel.

They can't have showcases without including champions cup teams (Dec) and Playoff teams (June) or coaches wouldn't show up. Their college scouting attendance has dropped quit a bit.
Dęć Showcase @ Norco CA - competes with CASL/Visit Raleigh showcase/NCAA women's final four and NOW if the GA showcase stays the same dates this year will compete with ECNL moving their Dec showcase up a week to the same weekend as GA and CASL/Visit Raleigh. That is 3 big showcases all during the same time frame.
GA does need to do something creative with scheduling because the overlap is likely hurting them. Not sure if they do it so coaches will end up travelling all around the same time or what it is but what you end up with are coaches that may attend the GA event for maybe a day or two and spend the rest of their time at the ECNL event.

I completely agree with you and the "watering down" comment. It's not opinion, it's factual. Anyways, can you explain why the bankruptcy comment? They now have all these low level clubs paying into the GA. Why would they go bankrupt? Wouldn't the addition of several clubs generate more revenue? It's not like you would have to do anything for them besides provide some low level showcase so they can feel good about themselves.
All they have to do is follow the ECNL model ... make sure all the teams below the Top 30 feel important and add "showcases" to the playoffs so they all fly to Seattle to play in the "playoffs" when only a so many teams are actually in the playoffs and everyone else is just playing each other again in a showcase.
Then add 350 ECNL-RL clubs and keep getting money.
ECNL is just as watered down. The top 30 clubs carry that league and if you don't see that, then just keep buying your hat and wearing it proud.
I don't own a hat. Don't have a player in either league so I can be honest without bias. Getting back to my question. Why these rumors about bankruptcy? Is there something I'm not understanding? More teams = more revenue, does it not? Adding more low level "showcases" divisions shouldn't cost much more.
