First off, if wmd is used against a country that has no wmd, no American will be safe anywhere in the world. Second, the US will be complicit in an unforgivable war crime and should be banned from every single international institution in the world. Third, wordwide sanctions on all American goods and services should be enacted.

Domestically, Republicans will lose the Iranian vote forever. Same for the muslims and many whites. Most likely, military recruitment would also become much harder as well since not many people actually want to be associated with nuclear war. Look at the fallout from Fukushima, which only was a nuclear reactor disaster. The ones that do enlist will be a bunch of mouthbreathing sociopaths similar to the IDF.
