The new club, Michigan Development Academy, apparently will not offer GA (or anything at the ECNL level for that matter) and it's unclear what will happen to that spot.
expect more to leave in the next fews years as the quantity raises but the quality decreases
Anonymous wrote:So let me get this straight. You don't think a “noted” D3 coach or a two-time HS coach of the year are capable of coaching high level youth soccer? I won't even mention the 2 time ECNL NC player because her coaching experience wasn't mentioned, but please explain why the two noted coaches are incapable of success.

Yep, here's a sampling of their girls coaches ...
One, who is a 2-time HS girls coach of the year.
One who is a noted former D3 women's college coach
One who previously helped win 2 ECNL national titles as a player for Hawks
None of those three resumes mean they can coach youth girls soccer at a high level and be successful. One of the parents on my daughter‘s team played for the US national team. There’s no way she could coach the team. We have another parent that used to be a college coach and there is no way he could coach the team.
Another coach, it looks like played professionally, was a coach of the year in Canada, and holds a UEFA "A" license. Also while youth coaching in England for 10 years, worked players such as John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Ledley King, Ashley Cole, Peter Rrouch, Jermain Defoe, Gareth Barry, Bobby Zamorra, Joe Cole, Anton Ferdinand.

An ECNL fan boy is trying their best to dump on GA clubs. Trying to associate Kigs Hammer and NVA with whatever was going on at Sporting.
Don't you ever get tired of worrying about GA? What you should be worring about is making it to playoffs (which we all know your kids team didn't do) so you can get shelled by Socal teams.
Yeah, they were dumping on Midwest United plenty earlier in the thread. BTW, that club's 2012, 12-year-old phenom recently played with their USL-W team and just became the youngest to score a goal in that league!
Don’t worry, I am sure Doug @ Michigan Hawks watched and has already made a phone call.
She will be playing soccer in Detroit soon enough![]()
Pretty sure she'll play where she wants at this point. And Doug has more things to worry about, like the Wolves starting its girls program.
A club with no female players, with coaches no one’s heard of on the girls side, with no access to any leagues of note? Super threatening to the Hawks machine
