You think a bottom dwelling new club leaving is a call that others will be leaving? Did you stop to think that maybe they lost players after doing poorly across all ages and news that Beadling and Century may be re-added to their conference? The club clearly bit off more then it could chew and is either leaving because they know they can't keep up or we're told they would be bounced anyway.

I find it funny, just like the ECNL does with GA, we have this push to run down a potential emerging rival (Par for the course in this thread). The Wolves could have Emma Fricken Hayes and it would be but this or but that.

Also interesting it looks like a few either coached for the Hawks before or played for them. Must be an interesting story when those 2 clubs split a few years back.

Who knows, though, maybe they'll end being a feeder program OR perhaps do so well they end up eclipsing them?

Being the high school state coach of the year means something to you? What state are you from? High school coaches in Virginia are definitely not well thought of. Most of them coach second and third level travel teams, if they coach club soccer at all.

One who is a noted former D3 women's college coach
One who previously helped win 2 ECNL national titles as a player for Hawks

None of those three resumes mean they can coach youth girls soccer at a high level and be successful. One of the parents on my daughter‘s team played for the US national team. There’s no way she could coach the team. We have another parent that used to be a college coach and there is no way he could coach the team.

Another coach, it looks like played professionally, was a coach of the year in Canada, and holds a UEFA "A" license. Also while youth coaching in England for 10 years, worked players such as John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Ledley King, Ashley Cole, Peter Rrouch, Jermain Defoe, Gareth Barry, Bobby Zamorra, Joe Cole, Anton Ferdinand.

With those players, that coach worked in the west ham United academy.

So let me get this straight. You don't think a “noted” D3 coach or a two-time HS coach of the year are capable of coaching high level youth soccer? I won't even mention the 2 time ECNL NC player because her coaching experience wasn't mentioned, but please explain why the two noted coaches are incapable of success.

Of course, there aren't any female players, they're just starting -- and they have a better reputation than the Hawks for being organized, having less coach drama and access to very same world class facilities. The Hawks biggest asset has been its long history of success and ability to recruit as a result -- but lately this move by the Wolves and the emergence of the Nationals (as well as GA Jags, Midwest United, etc) means kids in Michigan more good options than they ever have.
