Rick Scott certainly was trying to say all the right things, which is great, except he didn’t answer the questions. And to me, saying McConnell has a “Death Wish” is far the worst part of the tweet.
The Margaret Brennan interview is here - relevant discussion starts around minute 8. He is pathetic not to be able to condemn this kind of talk instead of lying and whatabouting.
I saw him at one point say republicans are against democratic spending and we have to stop the spending. Guess he will be a no vote on federal aid for the hurricane victims? You know in Florida and he is the senator for Florida.
He already voted against hurricane aid last week. Rubio didn’t bother to show up for the vote.
So Florida isn't getting federal aid at all for the devastation? Or they are getting it but the republicans voted no thinking they could get the aid without their vote?
Sounds like the latter. All 16 Florida House Republicans all voted against the CR with FEMA aid last Friday and then Rick Scott voted against it while Rubio was a coward who didn’t show up to vote.

I have to admit this surprises me. Won't the democrats just run this fact non-stop whenever he is up for re-election? surely the average Floridian knows that they need federal aid?
