Last weekends display by that Yellowjackets team was pretty bad all around. Someone could say just “yea, it isn’t what this club wants to portray, won’t happen again.”

We played a team last summer that tomahawk'd our player in the head, who was then out for 3 weeks. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill, Stars going to be in for shock in NGLL games.

this STARS team played in NGLL last year. They are not going to be in for a shock.

News flash, The Stars teams won't be in shock in NGLL as they have been playing in it every year. Nothing new there other than the best competition around. Not to mention the high level competition the Stars and Pride teams play in all the big summer tourneys. Nice try though.

That Stars 27 was not in the A Division last year, nice try though. And if you think there's a comparison between A and B NGLL, I got more bad news for you Stars Dad.
Your tournaments were a joke outside of the Summer Impulse, how did that go for you?

Nice wins over MC Elite and True MD though...

If the Stars 27 tourneys were a joke (no clue as no affliation), then what does that say for the tourneys that the bottom feeders from YJMA played in?

Keep drinking that expired honey.

I don't have anything to do with YJMA, but they are how old again? 20 months? You don't just get invites to the top tournaments in top bracket.
YJMA doesn't have A players right now, I don't think anyone would ague.

Reading over the concensus of especially the 2023 class. It seems Capital's two team get the best players. So the top rated girl laxers, 1-44 went to Capital and had great success in getting the placement they were working for. The next group by talent is supposedly Pride, 45-66 which is having issues getting their girls recruited. Seems VA Metro is next, maybe their girls are ranked as 67-88 and they had success placing their girls. So maybe YJMA is next with their girls ranking between 89-110. They have had success placing their girls. So, if the player verbally commits to a school, I would think the player, player's family and organization all did their job and the result speaks for themselves. Of course, to some people on this forum they continue choose to bash instead of promote the student/athlete achievement.

Girls lacrosse has around 150,000 HS players. It's said the only 12% of HS girls lacrosse players will go on to play women's lacrosse. Only 3% are offered a spot at D1 programs. It seems that those that are getting recruited and commiting seem to have chosen the correct club to develop and defy the odds. The fact that some players that might have not been seen as cream of the crop and either didn't try out or make the cut at maybe Capital or Pride, were developed tremendously and utilized the club's connections to help them be seen and get offered. Maybe some clubs and players did not find their fit, maybe they decided their skills set did not match the type of college or univiersity setting they want in a college experience. Maybe they decided their lacrosse passion waned and the dedication required is too much and decided not to pursue it at the next level. Regardless, I hope they enjoy their lacrosse experience.

When looking at the recruiting done with the YJ club and thinking about what they were working with, what they had to develop and how they put players in position to be seen and offered. You must choose not to see it, be a little crazy or biased, or just be that bitter and miserable of a person to continue to attack a club and it's players. YJMA success with their 2023 is actually surprising and impressive with their early commits. They are placing girls that originally weren't viewed as top rated players in the DMV area and developed them into a future college student/athlete. Well done.

Congrats, to all the girls on the verbals and future NLI. I'm looking forward to reading more placements in the 2023 class as well as seeing the next crop develop and go through the process.

Good luck to the players for their spring HS seasons.

This is what gets everyone upset. False advertising. It is impossible to say that this current club has had anything to do with getting girls recruited as they are brand spanking new.

They have taken credit for girls that played with different clubs and they recruited to playin a game or two. Then have the audacity to claim them as "Yellow Jackets" recruits. Just total fake news and atrocious.

Girls lacrosse has no dignity, if a girls scrimmages with a team at the St James or plays in one summer tournament these clubs take full credit in saying "Congrats on our XYZ recruit"

This is Rattlers and until this club has about 4-5 years under their belts and their leadership has SOME kind of credibility of developing talent and getting them recruited vice just stealing girls and taking credit.

Everything that is wrong with girls lacrosse in the DMV. Stars/Capital are the best in the area. Otherwise you will have to wait for someone else to emerge that actually cares. Slapping Yellow Jackets name and buying boathouse jackets doesn't make it "different" over night.

Right now I don't trust any club that has their own daughters playing and positioned as #1 players. other conflicts of interest abound. Mommy ball is not a good look Yellow Jackets.

The player gets the credit and the offer. You mention clubs getting the credit. They are one part of their development. Club might and should celebrate their athletes accomplishment. I think you miss the point. No club truly develops the players talent on their own. Capital doesn't start their foundation. Most Capital girls are private school girls that are from nationally ranked HS programs. Do you think their HS coach isn't helping develop their game? You are even more dense if you think that these girls don't take lessons and do private or semi-private workouts and training. Capital didn't develop them, they took the best 44 already developed players and continued to grow their game and put them in a position to be seen. Same thing as any other club. If you compare VA Metro Black's 2023 committted girls list to where they were two years ago, you will find a lot of them played for other organizations including Cardinal. They left Cardinal for a reason and in droves. They wanted more and felt the opportunity was better to be recruited somewhere else. VA Metro didn't develop that talent since their youth years, at least not in that class. The girls decision, hard work and new environment paid off for them. Same with YJMA. Some of those girls had been with them as Rattlers (obvious because one of their commits is wearing a Rattler pinnie in the post) and some joined after. Their committed girls they have posted also have come from public school, not privates and from areas you wouldn't think as lacrosse hot spots. Just like the others, they CONTINUED their development and YJMA put their players in a position to be seen and get offered. Congrats to them.

Girls lacrosse has it's shortcomings and continues to learn from it and grow. The only one without dignity or pride is you.

Way to target young girls…not serving the lax community well.

Angry dude strikes again. Everyone is happy that you are satisfied with Stars; they are a great program with a long history!

Based on math alone, there is not enough room for just one club to serve the entire lax community.
