My personal opinion is based of my DD playing against KL's Coyotes. He can develop players and teams. Ask any other coach at any top club nd they will agree.
As multiple people have stated here, there are kids who live less than a few miles from BSC practice fields who drive 30-45 minutes to play for other ECNL clubs and the girls that I know who do play for other clubs are some of the best players in the region. If BSC was able to keep that talent, it could rival PDA, MI Hawks, Lonestar, FC Stars, Mclean, etc. But the club has never fulfilled the potential that it has on the boys' side. Again, ask yourself why players would by pass BSC for McLean, FCV and MUFC to play for Moumen/Watson, Cziommer and Canellakis. The parents don't even realize that KL is the only coach at Bethesda who is on the same level of those coaches. BSC has some great coaches but the track-record of those above is undeniable. If the BSC parents get out of the way, BSC could get to that level. Wake up!

The 05 MRM team was one of the top teams in the country. Just be happy that he is there and agreed to deal with the parents in that insane asylum. The talk is that KL will not last because the parents are more interested in being in charge than in developing players for the next level. Folks, wake up! All but one Bethesda team qualified for 2018-19 ECNL Champions league. You needed help and as someone with no affiliation to BSC, you should count your lucky stars that you have KL.
Damn. We all need to meet this KL guy. Based upon what people here are saying, he’s a Godsend. We all need to bow our heads so he can bless and pour holy water upon us and our kids.
The guy is a pretty good coach but the system he found himself in, is broken. To win, he needs not only the right talent, but the right mindset. Unfortunately, the system still will not attract the best talent in the area due to the bad ingrained parent culture which is still encouraged by folks who are above KL pay grade.
tell me more about this parent culture. specifics please.

Because they don't want their DD to be constantly yelled at? Interesting that people discuss the girls winning. The boys academy focuses on individual development.

Their style of play is similar at the younger levels. Think DG wanted KL to raise the bar of the program. The messages going out - including from DG - are often driven by KL
DG is now coaching U12 and U13 rather than U13 and U14 lead coach.
and u15
Not lead for U15

Hence, why do people think he will have such a big influence on BSC? This reminds me of the Washington Redskins. Every time they draft or trade for a good player or hire a good coach.......people think that they are Super Bowl bound.
He is the director for ECNL. This past year he started being the coach for 2 teams, ended up being the coach on 4 teams. Went to other games. Next year 4 Teams officially. A bit of a crazy workaholic. That has its plus and minus points.
He is director of the older group (U15 and above), and not the entire girls program. Why is everyone so stuck on one coach to be the savior when he is not a TD, ED or DOC? There is only so much he has control of, while the usual suspects are still calling the shots like before.
Hes the ECNL Director across all girl age groups. Catch up bro.
Trust me, hes calling a lot of the shots right now.
So you're implying KL is calling the shots over DG who is not only on the BOD, but also the U14 and younger Director.
And by the way, JC is the person over the entire girls program. These are all alpha males.
