Where will FCV operate from, Springfield? If that is the case they might have players going to other teams within closer proximity. Anyone know?

I stand corrected.

Burn it all down. Makes no difference. This country will never be an international powerhouse on the men’s side, and the women will be pulled down by the drowning man.

So you agree with my list?

My thought would be, after the addition of DA teams from DC to South Florida;

ECNL Mid-Atlantic North = VA
ECNL Mid-Atlantic South = Carolinas

ECNL Southeast would pickup at least three more DA teams and halve that into a North/South.

That's what I thought you meant. You have lost your mind.

I am hearing that USSF is also doing away with the youth national teams except for 2 age groups. Anyone else hearing that?

Gotta say start to finish this thread makes my day. Been saying for years the DA as a whole is a joke, 2nd level league at best and well....

CLUE #2: Cindy Parlow Cone, the president of USSF and former member of NCFC/ NC Courage, took over the Federation and NC Courage left DA, that should have told you something.

2. CLUE: When a coach of a YNT (NC Courage) leaves the DA for ECNL it should have told you something.

3. VA going south plays Spring HS soccer while MD going north plays Fall HS soccer. As a result, they will never be in the same conference.

3. NOVA already has 4 ECNL teams. They will not go to (7) with the addition of FCV, Arlington and METRO. Mclean will argue that they are suffering because of Arlington DA and Loudoun will argue they are suffering because of FCV.

Now, I believe that FCV will get the bid and Mclean will benefit with the Arlington not getting a bid. However, I truly believe that Arlington should get the bid because they are a huge organization with a true pipeline and they will complete all the "corners" of NOVA (Loudoun (Loudoun), Prince William (VDA), Arlington (Arlington), BRYC / McClean (Fairfax).

Either way, Mclean will ultimately benefit from being squeezed in between Ashburn and Arlington.

Metro will not get ECNL. Again, Mclean is the beneficiary.

4. Current MA conference has 11 teams. With the addition of NC Courage and or FCV/Arlington, that will push the two South Carolina teams to the SE conference where they will they will join Tophat, et al. If both Arlington and FCV get a bid, it will push Charlotte to the SE conference. The SE conference will then be a very good conference. Less travel.

5. Losing Charlotte and CESA and picking up Arlington / FCV is a wash.

6. Travel for the MA division should never require a overnight hotel stay unless its a double header weekend.

7. I believe more regional showcases are in the future so you can been seen by local college coaches (MA Showcase, SE Showcase, NE Showcase, etc). No need to go to FL, AZ to be seen by east coast schools.

MA division could look like this:

Richmond
VDA
Mclean
BRYC
Loudoun
FC Virginia
Arlington
NC Courage
NCFC (Courage 2nd team per argument)
NC Fusion
Wilmington

CESA and Charlotte dropping to SE conference

I would be ok with that conference, great competition for the most part and no more traveling to SC. That’s a big win!

I could see CESA and SCUFC moving to the SE conference regardless of what happens in DMV. North Carolina would have NC Courage, NCFC, NC Fusion, Wilmington and CISC.....could also potentially add CSA who no longer has a home in DA.

CSA (DA) and CISC (ECNL) are the same Club (Will they be allowed to carry 2 ECNL teams?)

NC Courage (DA) and NCFC (ECNL) (old school CASL) have already been approved to carry 2 ECNL teams

Geographically, if they were to make room in NOVA for two more clubs, CSA/CISC would go to the SE conference

Best of luck, USA

You're lost if you believe that "championship soccer" (whatever that means) comes from a youth soccer league.

To be honest, USSF should revamp ODP and their scouting network. Leave youth soccer to the clubs.

The failure of the DA will spark something better and more focused.

Be thankful. We were going down the wrong path.

Yes. I am also worried about real world things.. you know like people dying ..so making like easier is good. This is good competition. Those multiple trips plus showcases are a lot to process now. This would work.
