Well, she wasn't at the caliber of the others. I think she's making excuses, personally.
Well. Jill Ellis said the decision was "solely based on soccer" so it must be true.![]()

How long do you think Gregg Berhalter would last if he said, "I picked this forward to be my left back but it wasn't because I don't like the politics of the best player in the position?" Since Berhalter isn't a lesbian, he'd probably be gone in a flash.
Somehow I think they managed to do okay without her. Or are you proposing that teams should select lesser skilled players in the name of diversity? That's an interesting position for you to be taking.

I go to CitiOpen event at Rock Creek Park every summer and the men winner receives 384K while the women winner receives 43K, almost ten times less than the men. Wh?y

No, it is still too early to say. The boys that would have started at the youngest ages of DA, and thus benefitted from the maximum number of years of DA training, are now the age of the Pulisic’s, McKennie’s, Boyd’s and Sargent’s of the world. Let’s see what those players are able to do for the USMNT over the next 2 WC cycles.

Rose Lavalle was excellent in the knock out stages. With all the attention on Morgan and Rapinoe, they were the unsung heroes. Ertz and Mewis has a very good tournament too.
Siri. It’s like you read my mind. Dunn is just incredible. and she’s 5 ft tall! She was phenomenal.

I played on a FCPS HS team that was a trial, and became a Varsity sport my junior year. I had no option to play past then. I grew up and away from the game but always loved what it gave me - the confidence to compete and the reason to move. I’ve married and had boys who have played other sports. I’ve watched women’s soccer develop over the years. Watching this game today was amazing. Rapinoe may be polarizing, but I remember when she wouldn’t have had a voice. I give her mad respect and think whether or not she should have been playing, she sparked this team and was a big part of why they won. Can’t wait to see what the team, and esp Rose Lavelle, does next. Congrats!
