Oh good lord. I also talked to him after and yes he seemed nice. I also saw him
when his team played our team and I did not see anything crazy. If you are mad then why not talk it through rather than damaging someon’s reputation on an online forum that most of the DC/Va/Md soccer community reads. I like reading helpful information but I am

Ooooooo three times. Well then. By all means. I defer from our experience to you. I shall by him the Grandeest of the Grande that Starbucks offers.

While he prob couldn’t help the club being sold. He could have oh I don’t know, not withheld information until people paid. Or here’s one, not recruit players to come under the same lack of information. But your right. Hey, what kind of latte does he like?

New poster here. You know how sales, mergers, acquisitions work right? NDA's and Confidentiality agreements? At my job when we're working through a sale/merger, you can't talk about that stuff with anyone until it's done. Why do you care? Are you FCV? If not, then why do you even care.? And, the latte comment is lost on me. Why do you care? If you're not at FCV and don't want to be, then why does it matter to you. The parents who are there will decide what's best for them if changes start to become problematic. Do you really think the parents should just demand their money back and run from DA teams that are performing well together because you think that maybe there might be some changes eventually? Come on.

NDA's at your job? Like when you're selling a soccer club?

Who said anything about people leaving or asking for their money back? Nobody is generally that knee jerk and they will see how things go. That said, it is a pretty bad look to drop that bombshell after folks had signed on though.

We don't deal in soccer clubs at my workplace. Again, not him. So, they should've told people before it was done that maybe someone else might buy the club? Naw. Seems like people who keep raising the issue of the sale aren't even with the club. Why does anyone else care?

Exactly, why would people care if a new possible practice location is 30 miles away from the one originally thought to be?

Possible, maybe, could be. But it isn't. Still at Evergreen. My question, is why would anyone OUTSIDE the club who doesn't want to be there even care where FCV holds training?

I would stay away. It is jekyl and hyde. Everyone loves him until he coaches your daughter. He curses, favors some girls over others, will take you to a tournament in another state just to sit your child with no warning, and worse of all - he is all about winning. Yelling at the girls when they loose isn't even the worst. He will scream across a field "Don't ever do that again', 'Who is that to', 'Why are you doing that?' 'I guess you want to loose'. Sprinkeld with curse words. Sometimes he tells them how lazy their parents are for not bringing them to him for private training and recounts how amazing he was when he was young compared to where the girls are right now. I know it sounds hard to believe but I am not making this up.

But the training environment at FCV is like non other.

All this negativity.

Does it derive from jealousy? Bitterness over non-offers?

FCV is an outstanding place to train (see how I didn't put my daughter first there).

Don't listen to the whiners who didn't get an offer.

None of the above. The poster asked a question and since I have first hand knowledge I wanted to share it. People can make their own decision, but this was our experience.

Ahhh....and now you know...

Kid didn't get an offer huh. Or second team offer after putting your trust in him, playing futsal for him, helping him out.

...the rest of the story.

Right, how many kids didn't get an offer for his team if he is still advertising slots for both of his teams in SoccerWire:
https://www.soccerwire.com/classifieds/fc-virginia-looking-for-talented-06-girls-and-05-girls-3/

LOL!!!

Quite the destination club.

Maybe there was an NDA in place or a confidentiality agreement and disclosure could have ended the deal? But, by all means, you should definitely be upset they didn't include you in the buyout talks. You know there are some of us here that have some business experience beyond posting on a message board. You really show your ignorance man.

The timing of the announcement seemed pretty clear. Keep the teams in-tact and work through the next year, no reason to rock the boat. It was a smart thing to do because what is a soccer club without the players? But don't act like FCV didn't sit on this information and believe that they announced it immediately after the signatures were made.

Again, you made that up on your own, in your house, in your mind. So, we should assume that they did that? No evidence at all to the contrary, except a guy who hates the club on a message board. Man, stop. Why would people leave the club based on that? And why do you care??????

Of course it is just speculation. Never said it was true. I also tend to believe that it is more likely to have been sat on then the news was released immediately upon closure of the deal.

But you obviously have an understanding that it the information of the sale was not sat on. In reality you are making that up in your own house, in your own mind as well.

You'll believe whatever negative you can grasp on to. I am dealing with the facts as they came to us. I don't need to sit around and try to decide if someone held out on me and if so, maybe I should get mad. I mean, how would that work? They go "After we have XXX amount of deposits, we'll then release the info?" I have a hard time buying that. The way secrets are kept in the soccer world, there's no way that secret would've kept for weeks, months or days.

Well Bobby, since you just stumbled upon this forum I'll let you in on a little secret. Word of this was actually discussed here for months. The details were pretty sketchy but there was a lot of smoke regarding something this big happening.

I'm also not BP. And so what? Rumors float around the soccer world and this board daily. What's your point?
