LOL!
The Democrats had a KKK Grand Wizard as a member of Congress, whom they held in high regard, for half a century.

Gosh, that was like 35 years ago. I’m talking about TODAY. Wake up.

Gosh, Robert E Lee was over 100 years ago...

No one is proposing we build statues of Byrd or Northam here.

No need to build a statue of Byrd, there is one in WVA capitol.

Actually, a statue causes far less harm than a governorship.

Seriously.

The GOP should be very silent right now.

If you stop and think for a moment, you'll realize that both parties are made up of Americans, some of whom are excellent people and some are full of hate. Claiming the moral high ground and demonizing the other is both factually incorrect and unhelpful.

Which political party do these groups believe support their cause? I'll give you a hint. It's not the DNC.

Untrue.

Just curious.... Are you the same poster who claimed that VA never had a black governor?

Your party elected Trump. It has actively staked its flag on the low road.

So embarrassing.

What’s embarrassing is that our current POTUS engages with neo Nazis and actively invigorated the “alt Right”. Not to mention retweets ultra right wing BS.
Now that’s embarrassing!!! Lol!!!

It was horrible. But he already apologized and will face serious repercussions. His career is over even if he doesn’t resign.

Still waiting for the apology from that Catholic school...

The school is not calling themselves “Coon School” and neither are they elected to run a state.

Also the school doesn’t allow black-out games anymore and the black basketball player in said photo said their intent wasn’t racist.

What if Ralph is in the klan robes? He won’t say if he is, he is not even being honest or forthcoming about the photo.

If it was OK to do the blackface at games then why did they stop?

Seems like they realize it was wrong, but we still waiting on the acknowledgment & apology....

At least Northam had the balls to do that.

Have you heard of the South Strategy? Or more generally the shift by southern democrats to the GOP between 1964 and the 1990's?

Sen Byrd was among those who never switched. There are plenty in the GOP today, including McConnell, who did.
