+1 An order of protection is a big deal. That means the judge saw Porter as a credible threat. An officer responding to a 911 call responding to a woman scared her husband will harm her physically is not nothing.

In any other administration, Porter would have never been allowed to keep his job.

The women did not go out and publicize their past abuse. The Daily Mail UK sniffed out the story and contacted them.

The consistent abuse pattern with three women, two ex-wives, and one former girlfriend. The contemporaneous evidence, as well as accounts from well before the scandal broke -- a photo, a restraining order, a personal blog, warnings to colleagues (in the case of the girlfriend). The fact that the divorces came relatively fast and so young also suggest that both women had compelling reasons to leave a man that looked to all the world like the perfect partner.

If this were a conspiracy to bring down Rob Porter, these three women would have been laying a trail of clues for years in the anticipation that he would one day be in this position. A highly improbable supposition.
