+1. Not to mention, lying to the police and/or interfering with a police investigation is a felony charge in Brasil. If the words "South American prison" do not strike fear in your heart, you definitely shouldn't travel to that area. I'd never heard of him before this incident and couldn't make it through even a third of that article. Maybe he's getting exactly the reproach he deserves, but I do think he got drunk, got robbed, feels stupid.
But that doesn't excuse armed robbery, which is what Brazilian officials appear to be trying too do.
