I think she's awful, but Simon is clearly only there for the money/screen time, to play the character of "Farrah's sometimes boyfriend." He said in one previous episode "Thanks for the free dinner" or something to that effect, when he and Farrah fought at a restaurant and she left him alone. He was talking to the camera crew/MTV, who pays for all the activities that are filmed. He's enjoying this all very much, so I can't feel bad for him.

Catelynn would have been okay as a mom who chose adoption if MTV hadn't been a part of their lives. Every adult in Catelynn's everyday life has taken turns dumping on her when she needed them the most, and is now benefiting (financially) from what SHE (....and Tyler) did. Seriously, April has finally gotten her life together miraculously, after calling Catelynn a bitch multiple times in her 16&P episode and for every season of TM but this one (yet?) Or maybe the money is just finally kicking in...
Catelynn needs intensive therapy from someone who will counsel her about considering a life separate from Tyler.
They really need to end this show.[b] It benefits no one to keep it going, and the "stars" (the kids) are the ones suffering the most.

My diagnosis is delayed grief. She could take another few years to get over it. She has basically become a lost cause

WTH is he still doing with her? I cannot believe he wants the world to see him get kicked in the balls by Farrah on every episode.

It also truly saddened me to see her and April laughing and toking it up in the car together while Tyler was doing it at home with Nova. They gave up Carly to break the cycle and still ended up drug using unemployed losers like their parents. So depressing and sad especially for Nova.
