I think she needs a lot more than 5 pounds to bring her to a healthy weight. Her face is really hard to look at. Have you seen her in a short skirt? Her legs look unreal. I just saw the interview where she said it was her medication but I'm sure she has an eating disorder.

I watched her reality show, and I didn't my remember them saying anything about her losing her period. The doc did tell her she could stand to gain 5 pounds, and Bill reminded her of that too, but she said it would be hard because she's in the entertainment industry.

She said she went to her oncologist and the doctor said it could be the tamoxifen, some people gain weight on it, some people lose. She said "truthfully" she eats more than she ever has, but is losing weight. Okay, G!

Why is that so hard to believe?

Because before she even had cancer, when she was trying to conceive, her doctor told her to gain five pounds and she wouldn't do it. She had stopped getting her period, couldn't get pregnant, and so she went to a fertility doctor. The doctor told her to gain weight and she wouldn't. This was on the reality show. She said if she gained weight she wouldn't fit into the sample sizes for the E "news" show she does and the show doesn't have a budget for clothes so that was her only option. When you see her from behind in those clothes they have clamps all the way down her back taking them in.

I lost a lot of respect for her when she refused to gain the five pounds that could have helped her get pregnant.

Wow - so she claimed she needed to keep her weight down to fit in the sample sizes for E News, but she actually already was already having to have them clamped to fit? I mean, it doesn't surprise me because she's obviously way smaller than a sample size, but yikes. Of course, that she couldn't even bring herself to gain a few pounds to get her period back (so her weight was so low she lost it?!) to get pregnant just shows she's been in a very unhealthy place for a long time and before the cancer.

I haven't followed her all that closely but if all of that is true...wow. I hope she is able to overcome whatever is causing her weight loss.

Such a stupid question.

Why is that a stupid question.
I conceived easily. So, I didn't study or research infertility.

Apparently she ate cereal with water on her TV show to save calories. Girl, please, you eat dessert every night.

Why is that so hard to believe?

Because of her admitted, highly restrictive/obsessive/neurotic diet? Because everything about what she is saying compared to that admitted diet screams deflect, deflect, deflect! Weight loss doesn't make sense unless she's got a caloric deficit. She's saying she's eating more than ever, not that the medicine is causing appetite loss.

I would think that she has a malabsorbtion issue. She may very well be trying to gain weight but something about the medication is causing her body to not absorb the nutrients (calories) from her food.

It's especially difficult to absorb food that never entered your digestive tract.

You are convinced that she is not eating. Maybe she isn't I don't know. I have know way of knowing. But she is SAYING that the medication is causing her weight loss and that is not implausible. In fact, it is quite possible. Maybe it's a combination of a restricted diet and a reaction to the medication?

Addicts are glad you buy into their story/PR. It's denial like this that makes the co-dependency cycle possible.

She basically looks just how you'd expect her to look if she followed the diet she posted for a few years.

Because it is well known that women ago weight on tamoxifen has it is really hard to lose it. That is a fact. Could it be tamoxifen? I guess but she was be in the .0000001% of tens of thousands of women on tamoxifen who has this issue. She isn't eating. She isn't eating more than ever. She has issues and really needs help. I can't watch her either now. The weight issue is so distracting and to blame it on tamoxifen is just hiding the true issues she really has.

Regardless of whether she eats or not, or is sick or not, she is unwatchable. I can't help her; that's not my goal. My goal is to not have unwatchable people on the air.

It reminds me of Dick Clark after his strokes when they'd still drag him out to host the NYE countdown. His face and speech were so garbled- it was an eerie combination with the otherwise upbeat and exciting promise of NYE. Really depressing. (Though, good for you, stroke survivors you are awesome! Just not what we need to have to see on NYE.)

Someone needs to call a spade a spade and get the hook and get her off the air so we don't have to see her Fire Marshall Bill looking ass.
