I can't stand going to the neighborhood pool anyway. I'm an introvert, and having to talk to people I really don't know (or care much for) while the kids play is torture for me.

How did you make your friends, as an adult with children? I don't have any friends at work, if I didn't talk to neighborhood people I'd not have made any new friends in 10 years.

My friends are generally moms of my kids' school friends. If they're at the pool when I am, great - if not, I really just want to bury my nose in a book and ignore everyone else.
