I don't think it was. It was a photo op for Whiskey Pete who has aspirations to run for President. Trump got wind of it and showed up.
Sometimes it's that simple. These people aren't smart. They aren't playing chess.
I hope it got some of the brass to see the reality. I hope they stay and sabotage the regime from within. It's not like Miller is going to shoot them.

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Perfect! Now find me links to stories where checkpoints were seizing legally possessed and registered RIFLES and SHOTGUNS.
Again, I’ll wait.
I’d like to thank you in advance for demonstrating your lack of understanding in a predictable way.
Federal prosecutors in the nation’s capital will no longer bring felony charges against people for possessing rifles or shotguns in the District of Columbia, according to a new policy adopted by the leader of the nation’s largest U.S. attorney’s office.
That office will continue to pursue charges when someone is accused of using a shotgun or rifle in a violent crime or has a criminal record that makes it illegal to have a firearm. Local authorities in Washington can prosecute people for illegally possessing unregistered rifles and shotguns

Like, why would they go to the expense and trouble of summoning so many people from all over the world, only to have Trump ramble on and make no sense and deliver no clear, direct updates or orders? Did the Big Boy just want to line up his toy soldiers? It makes no sense.
Trump invited himself when he found out it was going on (as evidenced by his absolutely worn-out, moronic speech that had nothing to do with the audience at hand). Hegseth just wanted the photo opp. In both cases, they absolutely humiliated and discredited themselves in front of military leadership.
Military will always fall in line though.

Twice a year mandatory HEIGHT EXAMS

I think it means the "height AND weight" standards --- meaning you have a certain weight standard based on your height. They are not expecting people to grow taller, or suspicious that people are shrinking out of normal height.
So they are going to fire people with too much muscle?
There is a way around that. Been using it for years. Tape test. When I worked in a DOD office, the fittest guy there failed the height/weight because he was so much muscle. There is some measurement they use. (This was before the Army went "woke.") He passed and that will be the same here, I'm sure.

Or maybe I should have put this in the dementia post....
