There are enough Private schools in Virginia to form a league and solve a couple of huge problems.

The first of which is the Beltway traffic for games after school, especially those that require crossing the American Legion Bridge TWICE.

SSSA, Episcopal, Potomac, Flint Hill, O'Connell and Ireton make a balanced 6 team Conference. (PVI would stick with the WCAC)

Prep would go to the Catholic League. STA to the MAC and Landon and Bullis would have to figure it out.

The makeup of the current IAC (GP, Landon, STA, Bullis, EHS, St Stephen’s) will look different at the start of the 2028 - 2029 school year.

A merger with the MAC has been in the works for well over a year now - the conference would have an upper AA and lower A division for their respective schools to decide which sport level they can compete at. I.e. Sidwell basketball would compete in the upper level for hoops and the lower level in lacrosse. I’ve also heard that maybe some Annapolis based MIAA schools (Severn, St Mary’s) are also interested.

Oh, please. No MIAA school would want to make that move. They already have a division set up in the MIAA.

Also, not all of the IAC schools have pg boys and reclass junior and seniors playing lax, STA among them.

This is more true than people realize. Half the league cannot consistently support as many sports as they are trying to. Talks have been underway for a year.

That wont happen. All of the IAC schools are doing the same thing as far as playing older guys.

Exactly! That’s a ridiculous take posted by someone who has little understanding of the IAC.

GP actually has a place it can go, if the IAC starts to dissemble. Where do STA, Bullis and Landon go? The MAC?

And there’s no way Landon would ever vote for this and throw away their principal rivalry.
