I can’t believe the stupidity of small businesses and non fed people, they didn’t bother to think that if their clients lose jobs then they lose business, but here we are. I have a couple of relatives in Baltimore who voted for Trump and their business sales are in the dump. I have zero sympathy.
Btw, I am not a Fed but I have 2 brain cells to figure out that pretty much everything in DC is tied to the Federal government.
You seem to be suggesting that people in America should vote for what's best for the people in the DC metro area? Why would someone in Illinois vote so that DC area workers are employed by the government?
Do you not realize that most government employees do not live here??
You people are stunningly uninformed.

I wonder if, when they take away her food stamps. Medicaid coverage and the Section 8 voucher, she is going to finally wake up and turn against Trump and republicans. My bet is no, she will rant that there is no money for people like her because illegal immigrants are getting white glove free healthcare, luxury housing, or Zelenski stole trilions, or the Biden crime family and so on.
You do know this happens in the private sector all the time. I honestly don’t understand the sense of entitlement to a job
This is NOT how you fire people in the private sector. If this is your experience, you've only worked at McDonald's.
Correct. I have been RIF'd twice. Received 2 months severance the first time and 4 months the second time and I was not a high-ranking employee by any means.

except for companies run by idiots like Musk, the vast majority of companies value their workers and know how much is lost when they have to train new employees

I suspect what you really can’t grasp is public service and the concept that running a government is not at all like running a business.
Which still doesn’t entitle you to lifetime employment
