What will Colombia do? They will send their own planes to get their criminals back. Great to have finally a leader who can make things happen.
You understand there’s a lot of puffed up exaggeration and lies when Trump speaks. None of this has happened. And I wish some MAGAs will explain how their middle class lives will improve from all of the executive orders and deporting people which is not new.

Here’s the issue. As an employer I’m not allowed to question documents even if I suspect they’re false. I’m also not allowed to not hire someone based on those suspicions. You can’t make an example of me simply because my defense would be "how was I supposed to know". You can’t sue a business for questioning documents and blame them for not questioning them at the same time.
So, since you are so anti immigration, why would you hire someone you suspect is illegal? What is he gonna do, sue you for discrimination? I think you are full of shit
Actually yes, there are Lawyers who specialize in exactly that. Suing employers for questioning documents. There’s even a dot gov page about it.
https://www.justice.gov/crt/immigrant-and-employee-rights-section
Aha. So the ILLEGAL immigrant will show up in court to sue you for not hiring them. Again, full of shit
Yes, they actually the right to. It can, and does happen. Look at the rights they have under e verify
https://www.e-verify.gov/employees/employee-rights-and-responsibilities
DP. Pretty sure an undocumented migrant is not going to out themselves by suing you in court, regardless of what e-verify says. You still haven’t told us what kind of a business you run. Context is important.
I own automotive detail shops. Again, undocumented workers have the right to sue and it not flag immigration.
https://www.kingsleykingsley.com/can-undocumented-workers-make-legal-claims-for-unpaid-wages
Well yes they can sue you if you hire them and don’t pay them. Do you think you are entitled to their labor for free?
A page ago there was "no way" an undocumented worker was going to show up to court, now "of course they can sue you"
Well, which is it?
Can =/= actually will
You were talking about an illegal suing you for citizenship status discrimination after giving you fake documents. There is zero risk that would actually happen even if it’s theoretically possible. Suing you for wage theft is entirely different.
It happens every day in this country. There are law firms that specialize in it. They send people in with fake documents to specifically see if you mention it. I think it’s as dumb as everyone else. My point is everyone says "blame the employers" but do not realize there are laws in place to specifically tie the employers hands. It’s frustrating to get blamed for something out of my control.
I 100% think if you allowed employers to question it, it would help slow the flow.
Can you give evidence that there are lawfirms sending people with fake documents to see if they are questioned and sue? Because it does not sound correct. Also employers can use everify if they want. Many employers know exactly their employees are undocumented. See the interview of the South Dakota dairy farmer a few days ago saying he did not believe Trump and Noem would ride his farm or other farms because they know 1) farms depend on the labor of undocumented people and 2) without undocumented workers the usa would end up with empty shelves at the grocery stores in days. Same for the construction industry. The flow would not stop if employees can question, they know exactly who they are employing but they need the employees

Ironically, the illegal immigrants are not actually a drain on our economy. They work jobs that native born Americans won't do and they don't collect what they pay into the system in the form of payroll and sales taxes. They work harder because they are more desperate.

This is an interesting development. Colombia said they wouldn’t take back their own citizens so Trump is enacting tariffs and other measures.
Personally, I think this is a great move. It is the responsibility of the host nation to repatriate their citizens. I do not understand why Colombia won’t welcome their own people back.
They don’t have any issues taking their migrants back. They are demanding they are returned on civilian flights like humans.
To me, that’s a fair ask.
Too bad so sad. Should have thought of that before you snuck in illegally.

Something to consider if you care about consumer prices...
Colombias gas exports have been decreasing yearly due to a host of issues. That’s while US shale is increasing, and hopefully increasing faster with a new regulatory environment.
Africa makes great coffee and I’ll gladly pay $3 a pound more to remove illegal migrants from our country.
Let me guess: You live in, what, Ohio? Do you know a single undocumented immigrant? Have you ever met an immigrant from Columbia? Would you know what an immigrant from Columbia looked like? Would you know anything about that immigrant, that is, if you know any immigrants?
Your ignorance = cruelty.
Get out and meet some undocumented immigrants. Talk to them. Find out what they have endured in their lives.
Now, compare their experiences (grinding poverty, violence unimaginable to you or to anyone you know) to your cushy, comfortable, safe life.
Once you've done that, please get back to me.
Parts of Ohio are really struggling with large numbers of immigrants so probably not the best example.
Try another state you feel is beneath you. Maybe Tennessee? Or Arkansas?

Once you figure out how to spell the name of the country we are talking about, come join in.

Rant away all you want. This group of people is significant to our economy.
You think if you go ahead and scratch your itch about this fake idea that we don't have a country if we don't deport all these people., anything is going to improve.
It will be a net negative to this country and lots of families, maybe including yours, just to "own the libs' or some such nonsense.
I don't have all the answers. This negotiated border bill seems like it would be a good place to start since it was accomplished by our elected representatives. Letting Trump loose with some half-baked mass deportation scheme that seems incredibly poorly thought out doesn't really seem to be helping you or me or anyone.
