Yes. Of course the president has the power to impose tariffs
Buckle up.

I think you’re a troll. I’m not quite sure because this election is exposing a lot of crazy/stupid people. But this post looks very trollish. Taxes are obviously the Constitutional domain of Congress.

Above post has been corrected to from “taxes” to “tariffs”. Feel better now?
Yes the president has the power to impose tariffs. He campaigned on it. He promised to do it. This is what people voted for. I hope he does it.

You have confirmed, albeit anonymously, that you are a fool.

I'm sure that's not her play. All world leaders know that flattery is the best way to manipulate Trump.

Please.tell me what law gives the president this authority? The fast track trade promotion authority of Trump's first term no longer exists.

Quit being a lazy bore.

True. But it isn’t really consistent with the MAGA view that Congress shouldn’t be delegating its authority. That the provinces of an elected legislature should not be delegated to the executive.

Sounds like she’s quickly reconsidered her threats.

Sounds like she's educating Trump on the actual status.

This.

The issues have been largely addressed as much as they can without legislation - that Trump killed.

The tariffs were just BS for his idiot base.

He's shadow boxing.

He threatened tariffs, so he could lie about getting concessions and then cancel the tariffs before they start. Tada! Instant political victory with no actual work or contribution, while taking credit for the work the previous administration did, and then not doing anything to improve the situation beyond that.

Same as how he "repealed and replaced" Obamacare
