Anyway, I am at the point t where he is discussion 9/11 and how the attack was so unexpected (despite the July report, despite the fact that the Guardian in 1999 had a 2 - page spread about Bin. Laden and his intentions). I remember how after 9/11 I thought of several ways the US was extremely vulnerable to more attacks (I don’t want to highlight here to give anyone ideas!) those remain vulnerabilities. I hope people realize that the Muslim hate incidents and continued funding to Israelto kill more people leaves us very vulnerable here at home! This is not just a conflict on foreign shores. It can very easily come here and harm us.
And to put things in perspective the 9/11 perforator’s were Saudis. Not Palestinians or Lebanese. But it is not far fetched to think future attacks might come from these population given that we have paid $$ to kill and maimed their family members.

Um, obviously.
But the reality is that even if we cut off Israel completely, Muslim extremists would still still hate America. Why? They hate all westerners and our western ways.
ICYMI: anyone bananas enough to kill in the name of religion hates all of us normal people. They basically only accept those who adhere to their special breed of religious fanaticism. Moreover, they don’t need to sneak into the country because some of them are already here.

I hope that is not true.
It is true. There was a time long ago where Lebanese liked Israelis more than Palestinians. They didn’t understand Palestinian objection to partition/Jewish immigration and The religious drama as they live with a split multifaith unity government and had many French and Armenian expats.
Israel doesn’t know how to be nice to people that are nice to them. Lebanon famously abstained from the 1948, 1967 Arab Israeli war much to the criticism of their Arab League neighbors who mockingly called them Switzerland and blamed Lebanon for being weak. Some people believed the war outcome could’ve been very very different for Israel if Lebanon invaded from the North. They never fought each other till the 80s.
Israel owes lots of its earlier security before the U.S. came in to protect them to Lebanon but it seems like Israel never realized that. They want a regional war/gang up at this point. Do they think they can handle an attack from
The North, the South/Gaza, and the West (WB or Iran) all at the same time? Netanyahu is acting erratically and foolishly for political points
This is literally all bullshit.

Think of it like the Mexican cartels...
Honestly, where is your heart? These are living, breathing humans living in communities with other living breathing humans when their pagers (and who other than militants own pagers - doctors!). Please try to understand this action didn’t just harm “terrorists” but actual people. I have a dear friend who is Lebanese-American. She lived through the Lebanese civil war. She and her husband planned and saved to come to the Us to raise their family away from war and is devastated that her new country (where she works and pays taxes) is sending military aid to Israel to enable it to kill others.
Btw, I am of Jewish descent and NOT a Hamas or Hezbollah supporter. I am also wary of all religious fundamentalism. But not all Arabs, not all Muslims are “terrorists” or “animals” or whatever dehumanizing label people want to use to justify their own acts of atrocities.
Stupid Israelis not just accepting the rockets that Hezbollah is launching at them.

Do you not remember the 1983 Islamic Jihad attacks on Americans? Those were done by Lebanese terrorists who later merged with Hezbollah. Israel just killed the commander who masterminded those attacks.
