I agree. It is one thing to co-parent and another to go on trips with your ex-spouse while your boyfriend stays behind. Miller must be very understanding and patient to essentially be number two behind Affleck.

My parents were divorced and they were very friendly and affectionate, but after they remarried, they did not go on trips together and leave their significant others at home.

One would hope so but these are narcissists who have broken their families without any regard to their children and got them to blend/detach/reblend/reattach/detach situations.

I actually know a man who went bananas in his 40s, blew up his family, shacked up with a twenty something for a few years and then dated a bunch of fun gals for a decade or so…until finally coming back to the mother of his children. It was a process that took years, starting with continued separate living but more robust family life. They ultimately got back together after reconnecting as empty nesters and the ex-wife determining she still wanted him. I wonder if the same might happen someday with Ben and Garner?

lol I have know a few couples like this and thought the same thing. It's lovely on the outside but when you think about it's a sad situation for the parent who gets stuck taking on more parenting responsibilities, while the other one acts like a fool for years. I've know 2 couples like that who coincidentally got back together after they become empty nesters. They had their fun and need support again 🙄 A tale old as time.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens? I don't think think it's a gender thing. At least it wasn't with the couples. The wife left in one pairing and the husband in the

Why would JG want to take ‘her dream trip’ with BA? Where is her fiance? Funny how BA, who is married to JL still, did not vacation with her this summer at all.


Jen G will be an empty nester in, what, 5 years? She doesn't need Ben A and his man child nonsense once she's finally gotten her actual kids out of the house. But they will always be a family, which is reflected in the time spent together this month.

It was a family trip, why would he? He’s probably spending time with his own kids before school starts.
