She isn't being paid to play, she is being paid to use her image and name to promote the club.
Considering how much the past FCV administration has pushed her success as their own success standing ovation for her to cut a deal like this. Good for her.

If the player needed financial assistance to cover her fees, that’s one thing. Paying a player to stay at the club (which clearly is funded by everyone else) is a bad look, at least it is to me. It would not make me stay, and I can see why some people might see it as a reason to go if they had a good alternative.
