I appreciate them both for not leaving FCV in the dust and helping to find what seems like great replacements to keep FCV rolling. I hope the girl's and families will stay. Everyone is scared of what's going to happen in the Fall, rightfully so. I will stay and keep my children there in the GA. If we stumble in the beginning we will try to see through and push forward. If we hate it after trying our hardest, we will quit and go to a new club.

Let's first see where are FCV's new fields. That will determine a lot if we stay or not.

If this really is a rebuild, might they rebuild the program around the St. James facility to get away from the field issues in Loudoun?

The indoor fields are too valuable to STJ to waste on FCV practices and games

You all certainly have the player talent to keep it going. If they replace matching talent at the coaching level this will be a bump in the road.
The uncertainly of outcome is stressful to deal with though I know. I think your plan of action is is pretty solid though.

But I think it's safe to say that FCV in the Champions league going forward for the HS ages is not realistic. Let's be honest, College programs that came to watch and recruit were drawn not by anyone sitting in the TSJ ivory tower, but by the respect they had for CC and BP.

Have they announced the new coaches yet?

New girls director is currently coaching at Seattle United ECNL. Have not named the other coach yet.

Are other coaches beyond CC and BP leaving too?

Well stated. Hopefully they can pull in coaches with connections and marketing skills to help avoid a total freefall. At the same time Mid Atlantic GA has become very competitive over the past couple of years to where FCV is now challenged in their games. So will be interesting. SYC will be a good add but will likely get a wake up call when they start playing games in their new league.

If all the departures of SJFCV are true, unlikely that they are keeping GA.

GA is not tied to particular people. GA cannot afford to drop anyone right now. They are fighting for relevance. So no FCV will not lose GA.

It’s funny how many posters here purport to be in the know but post no actual info. BP and CC leaving is not the news—key people leave orgs all the time. The news is who is going to replace them (and anyone else who may leave with them). I’ll reserve judgment on whether the shakeup is awful, awesome, or somewhere in between (and the reality is that it can be anywhere along that continuum depending on who is coming in) until we know who is coming in.

What's more funny is folks like you who obviously aren't a past of the FCV family, because if you were, you would already know this information. TSJ sent a detailed email on it.

Exactly. This is most likely a parent at a local ECNL club who's not very happy about seeing some of our top FCV ballers showing up at their practices and taking some roster spots. Get ready! It's already happening!

So there is your confirmation from an in-the-know FCV parent that the club is collapsing. I guess that’s why GA accepted SYC, they want to have a GA club in the DMV!

Rumor has it that SYC is bailing on VA Union and pursuing GA. Time will tell…

What's SYC's issue with Union?

McLean just announced that MYS and SYC have mutually decided to part ways at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

SYC just announced they are joining GA. So now there are two GA clubs based in Springfield
