We’ve been providing data this whole time. You haven’t.
Why are you so defensive about this? You made your choice, and apparently you believe in it, so you should be good. Many people regardless of money prefer the public school education, particularly around here where MCPS is very good, and they have given OP many reasons why they think it is better. If you regret your decision, just admit it, but otherwise your behavior just seems really odd.

Do you know the algorithm that Niche uses to get the results. I do. It’s bogus.
If you want your kid’s school to feature highly on this list have a campaign at the school for families to go and rank it. Seriously, it don’t matter if it’s a crap school; it will feature highly. I’m from a different state (originally) and our state has a FOR PROFIT school featured highly. No one really wants their kid to go there if they know anything about it. It’s full of mostly expats who moved with a short time span and couldn’t get their kids into a better school - and some boarding students from China. The school is crap, but Niche ranks it as one of the highest schools in the state - why? because everyone that attend is asked every year through a campaign effort to rank the school. I would never trust Niche scores, but maybe you get what you deserve if you do trust them. Stupid begets stupid.
I have four kids who have attended 3 different private schools, and none of these schools every had this sort of a campaign. The only campaign they all consistently engaged in was an annual fundraising campaign. Nice try though.

Anonymous wrote:Niche has a ranking for “Best High Schools for STEM.”
Let’s take a look at the Maryland rankings, which clearly combine public and private.
https://www.niche.com/k12/search/best-schools-for-stem/s/maryland/
As you can see, the private schools take the top 5 spots and in fact take most of the top 20. The W schools are there, but MCPS by no means is better than the private schools.
Should we keep going with this data?

It does not say that.
It says Holton is the #1 private school; Whitman is #1 public school.
The ranking doesn't rank private and public schools together. It lists the schools and ranks them either as #1, 2, 3 private or #1, 2,...public.
My goodness why is it so hard for the private schools boosters to grasp that?
