When people inject their real experiences into this discussion, they start with unfounded rumors and gossip in the hope of fearmongering. They worry that if people figure out they can go to most of these schools and do well, nobody will overpay for their shoddy homes in outer suburbia.
You may not believe this but I honestly don’t believe folks zoned wootton worry about their property value going down or compare themselves with RM zoned families. I just don’t see it. I don’t live there but my kids attended IB.
The crazy and mean-spirited posts that seem to bear no relation to our reality indicate otherwise.
You made me laugh. At least more than half of those crazy posts were YOURS!! LOL
If by mean-spirited, you mean factual, then sure. I stood up for RM because some posters here tried to unfairly smear it with unfounded gossip and fearmongering. RM Is an excellent school where any kid can do well as is Wootton.

You have all kinds of kids. Not a pressure cooker. If kid wants IB then there are 25 seats reserved for cluster's kid in IB magnet. If they decade then they can join even later in 11th grade. If kid likes AP more then pretty much all AP courses are available.
I can't comment about Wootton.

I live in the RM-zoned area next to Wootton, and it is often a topic of discussion. Some specifically target Wootton and have gone house-broke just to afford living in the zone. Losing property value would be a disaster.

Blair lives rent-free in your head.
It's not even about Blair...but the Blair envy is strong in you.
