Will they allow Kim to send NK troops to fight in Ukraine?
China's political calculations are that they don't want to get dragged into a European conflict that could be strongly predictive of their Taiwan aspirations. Their best clients are wealthy nations. They don't want to sour relations more than they already are. So China is treading lightly, and telling Putin that he should have invaded Ukraine swiftly, or not at all, instead of annoying EVERYONE with the Russian Army's incompetence and riling people up EVERYWHERE.
And China is watching and learning from this mess: either you do a bloodless take-over, or you bide your time until you can achieve same. Taiwan had better look out for debilitating cyber/satellite attacks before the Chinese navy shows up right when all their communications are down.

Maybe Russia is going to be post war Germany, respectable and well to do? A girl can dream!
Yep with an average household income of $6500 the ordinary Russian is clamoring for plane tickets.
It’s more symbolic than anything. If - even in theory- you can board a plane to pretty much any European country - then life is normal. If you can get your McD burger and Ikea couch, a visa to the US without jumping through hoops… you know the old 2019 things.
Can’t wait for it to be back. That’s why I want Ukraine to win - Russia will then get a light or not so light whipping and eventually become a country with a more or less ok reputation again

They don't need nukes. They need NATO membership. Far more effective deterrent.
Nukes are not as bad ass as we have been made to believe. Sure, they can burn almost everything combustible for 2 miles and if you are unlucky enough to see the blast from 20-30 miles away it can blind you. Other than that they just a really big bomb that you need to hide indoors from for 2-3 days if it was near you to avoid fall out.
To level Moscow you would need almost 300 nukes alone.
On top of that they are super expensive to maintain- at least every 5 years the detonators have to be replaced. The detonator costs more than the warhead and is super complex. The detonator for a nuke is one of the most complex things man has ever created and if it does not work perfectly there is no nuclear explosion. Ukraine could never afford nukes. Russia may have 10-20 that actually work.
