My son is anaphylactically allergic to nuts, and if someone had served me something with nuts by mistake, I would have chills down my spine. This is how people die. This is how my son ended up with a major anaphylactic reation one day when a restaurant served my husband a dish with peanuts by mistake, and he gave my son a taste of it, thinking it did not contain nuts.
So I understand his fear. Sadly his fear revealed him to be a racist bully. Taking a tone and reminding the server that certain mistakes can be deadly would have been sufficient.

“Work through their trauma”?

This is one of the things that’s wrong with this country. Assuming that people are so fragile they’d be scarred by a shouting match with some a-hole. Life is FULL of jerks like that. If people sought therapy every time they encountered one, they’d never have time to do anything else.
The Russians and Chinese are doubled over in laughter at how soft this country is becoming. It’s shameful.
This is over the top but I agree with the basic sentiment - no, these girls did not experience “trauma” and they should be just fine - they certainly seemed like they could stand up for themselves and acted overall pretty smartly (though the one who engaged him and yelled back probably should’ve just stayed quiet…)
This type of crap happens often, sadly.
I was on the train with my 12yo the other day and while we were waiting a large man suddenly yelled at one of us in a threatening and racist manner. I moved us to another spot. A short time later two men started a fight right next to us. Dd was scared and I got her out of the situation as quickly as I could. After she’d calmed down I talked to her about how there are many many people who are mentally unstable in this country and how you have to be strong, not show emotion, move out of or deescalate a situation. Getting upset or angry is just fuel for the angry/crazy people.
This guy is a pos and definitely deserves to get fired. The girls deserve accolades and hopefully a bonus and raise, and they will be better equipped to handle future asshats who come their way.

Not please don't f-ing yell at us, or shut up, or shut the F up, etc.
It just starts. "Please don't yell at us".
Incorrect. Watch it again.
The counter worker says "please don't yell at us". ( Implying that yelling had happened but that is not on the tape.
Then he says. "Don't videotape me".
Can you all share the link to the longer video with the rest of the class?

That is the one everyone has been watching.....

If a good parent did take their kid with a peanut allergy to Robek’s, he would watch the preparation of the smoothie like a hawk. If the good parent was unsure of the safety, he would address his concerns as a rational adult because remaining calm is the best way to get answers and models appropriate behavior to his child.

Nobody said anything about his politics, did they? All we know is how he feels about immigrants.
I did not think so but it was said fox news coverage is sympathetic to this bully.
