Actually you aren't because your quirks can get your country and others in major trouble. And I say this as someone who voted for Biden he needs to tighten it up.

I'm PP. I'm European. I've lived in the US for years. I applaud Biden. He's a hero. He said off-the-cuff things that are sincerely felt, true, and needed to be said by him, not by European leaders terrified of provoking a Russian attack on their soil. Unlike Trump, who when he says off-the-cuff things, it's usually xenophobic.

You need to understand the international dynamic here. Eastern Europe is profoundly scarred by the memory of the USSR, and profoundly concerned over potential Russian attacks today. Putin does not respect them and will move against them. He will NOT attack the US, the cost would be too great. What Putin needed to hear was that the US is adamantly against any Russian aggression, and will honor NATO article 5. Biden was as forceful as he could get. His words are worth a thousand missiles when it comes to protecting the borders between Europe and Russia.

Biden has single-handedly unified NATO like it's never been united before. This is a historic moment, and his words will go down in history. He knows his Putin. All Europeans are very much fans of Biden.

They were right. Preemptive strikes is the kind of thing Putin does. They may join NATO so I have to kill them. It is also what got us into the ridiculous Iraq war. You strike only when something done is bad, never just because you think somebody is going to do something bad. It seems even Putin and George W suffer from paranoia.

This administration told us for WEEKS prior to the invasion that Russia was going to invade. Russia built up their troops over a course of several months and despite the US (and presumably other NATO nations) having the intelligence that they fully expected him to invade, the US did nothing. They didn't ramp up providing Ukraine with the arms they needed. They didn't impost any of the sanctions against Russia.

And, don't try to tell us that this administration didn't consider the threat of sanctions a deterrent. Nearly all the officials who spoke on this topic called them a deterrent... Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Kamala Harris, Jen Psaki........
Biden is trying to claim now that they were never a deterrent because this administration failed in that regard. And, we all know it.

Threat of future death penalty being handed out could be a deterrent.

My only hope is that we ( America) gets out of this without being blown up , attacked in some way or involved in another boots on the ground conflict. We don't need this.
