These wars aren’t even in the economic or strategic interest of the United States.

However, just because we have the ability to bomb the shit out of a country does not mean the US will achieve anything. Without a land war, there's no turning around any country, and all this destruction just sows hatred from Iran - rightfully so I believe - against the West, specifically US.

That will be generational and that is the biggest net negative that is the only result of this debacle. Everything pales in the face of potential complications for years to come - always looking behind our backs and always wondering what the next prob we will have from Iran will be..

Short-term, everyone suffers for who knows how long. Long-term, the US suffers for who knows how long.

This is the ultimate hot mess. A foreign policy disaster that will haunt not just us but Europe as well. But I do not blame Iran. If it were me, I'd vow revenge against people who bombed my country and killed innocent kids nonchalantly. We deserve whatever retribution is coming our way unfortunately..

We will pay the price sadly for Israel’s war of destruction. As usual

We spent over $11B in a week. Think how much solar infrastructure that could have bought for our country. Get us off oil ASAP.

For those of you thinking this is going well for the US, please start watching European news and not Fox.

There not a need for a land war. Most Iranians want the IRGC out and hopefully elections come. The fact that they’re parading a card board cut out of the supreme leader speaks volumes.

??? That's NOT going to happen. "Hopefully" something happens is the language of our current moronic administration.

Trump WILL surrender and call it a victory. But what's not clear is if Iran lets him get away with it. Trump's lost.

Iran has zero incentive to let him get away with it. They have the world by the horns right now.

Let's not pretend that this isn't super painful for Iran. All their stuff is getting blown up, people are dying, fleeing their homes, etc. The difference is that they have staying power because this is existential to them, while most Americans don't actually care very much and are going to mighty pissed if they have to pay an extra dollar per gallon.

They took out $2B NATO air defense in Qatar, gone, one of six in the world. Putin's feeling good, whether he had a hand in it or not.

We are learning that you can have the most expensive toys in history, but you shouldn’t put children in charge of them. You still need adult supervision. Now our toys are getting broken and our incompetence is making us look like a paper tiger. As if the world wasn’t laughing at us enough.

You understand that there is a finite number of bombs, right? and this is taking place a half a world away where the added logistics etc cause issues. There is a reason our military is supposed to be for defense and not prolonged, protracted efforts on other continents.

Maybe they can put it on a golf course with a couple of preteens.

He won't surrender. He might unilaterally stop bombing Iran but then Iran won't be able to resist getting the last shot. Which will lead to a resumption of bombing and the cycle starting up again.

He'll effectively "surrender" in that his military campaign has failed.

The military campaign has been effective. The problem is that a war cannot be won with air power, or even force, alone.

The problem right now is that the belligerents are all led by douchebags. None of whom are either magnanimous winners or losers. Will any of the parties let their opposition get the last strike?
