Hopefully the coaches assured them they’ll have playing time. Can you 4hrs to and from practice to sit the bench?
Anyone going to a top 5 team in the country isn't going to just sit the bench. These clubs only take 1-3 new players a year and that's with the expectation they are impact players coming in to play. This isn't like the DMV teams where anyone basically makes a team. When you go to a Maryland club, you have to be better than probably most of the current team and roster to stand out. Otherwise, they won't disrupt a successful team to add a player to just sit the bench and piss off parents, players etc.
If Stars 2028 had players better than most on Coppermine and M&D, then they hid it very well.
They must be the masters of deception since both players made the MD teams.

Lots of movement after 8th grade to make the best travel team they can as there is not a ton of movement in high school.
Has there been any movement this year for the rising 7th grader 2028s? Did any of the DMV teams get significantly better after picking up some new players?
Rosters will come out later/early fall but a lot of times, it won’t be obvious which team will be great and it won’t be apparent until girls actually start playing. Some teams that were bad in early grades end up being really good by 7/8 and vice versa.
I think most od the 2028s stayed the same. No one picked up any game changers really. Stars lost 2 of their starters to Md teams.
What teams did they go too? That's not good for the program if they lost players already a few years before Capital.
Coppermine and M&D
Those are some good clubs, too bad Stars couldn't keep them.

Goes by fast and putting them in the right spot at the right club matters

Haven't seen rosters yet, but I heard it was one of the top Md teams.
