It says this for on Fairfax County Health site: "All cases are associated with travel or contact with a known case. More information about cases in Virginia is available on the VDH coronavirus website."
That statement implies no community transmission, but then they may only be testing people with travel or known case contact. Tricky!
They're still not testing people who may have it but haven't traveled or have a known case contact. There's a family in our community that's been told by their doctor to self-quarantine due to symptoms but they can't be tested for coronavirus.

During the Governors press conference yesterday, it was confirmed that there are indeed cases of community transmission. So they are either not updating or they are only talking about the active cases and the closed cases (eg. death) are the ones with community transmission.
And he still isn't doing anything about it aside from asking certain places to limit patrons to 10 and closing schools?

Chalk up another 2 cases for Fairfax County.
So my spouse works there and received the email, no additional info on who, where, etc. She started teleworking Monday afternoon - was there Monday morning - and our family has been isolated since. I am supposed to return to work on Monday but am now thinking I should take another week off to make sure I don't spread this.
This would be a lot easier to manage if we had, like, tests and specific contact tracing. You know, the way advanced, capable nations handle it....
Were you already on self isolation due to another contact?
