If it's all #fakenews then what's the problem with having him testify?

Also, notice how Trump said everything in his book is classified? How can something be classified and also fake? That statement is VERY telling about the veracity of Bolton's claims.

He said it is classified because that is what the NSA told Bolton's lawyers. Trump hasn't seen the book yet. Only what the NYTime is leaking and we can't rely on that.

Bolton is a Yale-educated lawyer who has held multiple high level national security positions in prior administrations and has written six other books. Do you really expect us to think he put something legitimately classified into his book?

Seems like it.
And, I find it interesting that you sing the praises of a person that Democrats found abhorrent for the past 20 years.

Even Alexander, who says what he did was inappropriate, doesn't believe it was impeachable.
He made that perfectly clear. And, other Senators agree with him. Probably even some Democrats.

Some Democrats in the House even agreed with him.

And then there's Justin Amash. I know where I stand on the issue of whether the President is a king. Where do.you stand?

Justin Amash, the Independent?
Nobody believes the president is king except for liberals who didn't get their way.

AGAIN, has Bolton denied what the NYT has reported?

Neither denied or confirmed.
And, why would he? He wants people to buy the book.
Plus, the NSA has informed him there is classified information. If any of what the NYTimes is reporting is deemed to be classified, he could be prosecuted.
So, best that he remain quiet.

He submitted it on Dec 30th.

Trump has nothing to do with whether for not it is approved for publication.
The NSA does.
And, if you think the NSA are Trump supporters, you haven't been paying attention.

Yep. That was Dershowitz's argument. He did it, but it doesn't matter because Trump believes his re-election is in the public interest. Ergo, the quid pro quo was not an abuse of power.

Trump told Bolton in early May to get Giuliani a meeting with Zelensky to tell him Trump wanted investigations into the Bidens. Pat Cipollone was a witness to this meeting, which means his representation of Trump is not only unethical, but he's also been lying the whole time in front of the Senate.

More than two months before he asked Ukraine’s president to investigate his political opponents, President Trump directed John R. Bolton, then his national security adviser, to help with his pressure campaign to extract damaging information on Democrats from Ukrainian officials, according to an unpublished manuscript by Mr. Bolton.

Mr. Trump gave the instruction, Mr. Bolton wrote, during an Oval Office conversation in early May that included the acting White House chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, the president’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani and the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, who is now leading the president’s impeachment defense.
