The mentors and leaders are fantastic. He loved speaking in Spanish all day, every day for three weeks. They had tons of social interaction, games, and classes. Three weeks away from home with absolutely no electronics is challenging for some but he said after the first day or two everyone fell into the rhythm and didn't miss their phones. This is a character-building program and definitely college application material!

Do you mind sharing the stats for getting admitted into this Summer program (Humanities)? My DS is applying for this coming summer also from a private school in VA. It seems private schools are grouped together for application pooling.
Anonymous wrote:DD did it last summer and thought it was great!! DD’s school doesn’t offer any AP Econ or Psych classes, so she enjoyed learning about those subjects while there. She had a wonderful time and made some wonderful friends. We also think it helped with college admissions, and she is off to an Ivy next year!
